Crystal Rockey started in mid-November in the newly created position of Event Planner, in which she will coordinate and plan events for the Eye & Ear Foundation and the Departments of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
Crystal has spent years building relationships and solving problems. She comes to Pitt from Penn State, where she handled communications, planned events, and worked with vendors to solve problems and manage purchases. She loves working with vendors to make sure everything runs smoothly.
“I’m excited to team up with everyone, plan amazing events, and make sure every detail comes together perfectly,” Crystal said.
Crystal and husband Matt have a sweet 7-year-old daughter, Jade, who is full of energy and “makes life exciting.” Outside of work, Crystal enjoys trying new places to eat with friends, visiting Disney World whenever possible, and sneaking in the occasional video game.
