The UPMC Division of Facial Plastic Surgery is expanding its footprint by adding a new clinic in Sewickley.
This site will dramatically improve access for patients, especially those coming from west of the city and the Sewickley area, so they do not have to drive into the city for care. The convenience afforded by additional locations outside the city has already been well received at the Wexford location, according to Division Chief Christina M. Yver, MD, MDA.
At the Sewickley clinic, patients will have access to the full spectrum of facial cosmetic and reconstructive care, including Botox and filler injections, microneedling, chemical peels, and surgical consultation for rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facelift, skin cancer reconstruction, and facial paralysis care. Appointments at this location are already available with nurse practitioner injector Michelle Thompson, CRNP.

Lauren Gardiner, MD, who did her otolaryngology residency at UPMC will be seeing patients in the Sewickley office when she starts her faculty practice this fall. Dr. Gardiner is currently completing her facial plastics and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of North Carolina Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Gardiner will be bringing her expertise in several advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques. These include dorsal preservation rhinoplasty (“incision-less” nasal surgery), advanced eyelid reconstruction, and endoscopic nerve harvest. Her practice will also include the full spectrum of facial rejuvenation, facial reconstruction, skin cancer and Mohs surgery reconstruction, scar revision and keloids, microtia, facial trauma, and facial paralysis surgery.
