Dr. Uma Duvvuri and Mr. Norman Gottron will speak about Pittsburgh CREATES (Collaborative Research, Education And Technology Advancement in Surgery). Their presentation will talk about advancements taking place in this innovative research space within the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of PIttsburgh School of Medicine.

Dr. Uma Duvvuri is a Professor of Otolaryngology who specializes in Head and Neck Oncology and is the Director of Robotic Surgery. He serves as the Medical Director of Pittsburgh CREATES.

Norman Gottron is the Director of Pittsburgh CREATES. Prior to joining CREATES, he worked at Carnegie Mellon University in the Claire and John Bertucci Nanotechnology Laboratory, a premier shared nanofabrication facility that supports cutting-edge research. He also founded a consulting company during his time at CMU that connected a variety of external clients to the resources available at shared lab facilities in the Pittsburgh area and beyond.
